Greetings Hockey Families! It is time to register for the 8th annual Kohlman Cup Pee Wee all-star tournament. The 2011 Kohlman Cup will take place on March 24-25, 2012 at the Eagle River Ice Arena in Eagle River, Wisconsin. You can sign up for tryouts and pay your fees on-line at www.kohlmancup.com  . The Kohlman Cup is open to all 1999 and 2000 Tier II pee wee boys and girls in Wisconsin. Kohlman Cup tryouts are on Tuesday March 13th, 2012 at six Regional locations. Local coaches and evaluators are listed on the Kohlman Cup website. There is a $30 tryout fee which can be paid on-line. The Kohlman Cup started in 2005 as the WAHA CUP, but was renamed to honor the many contributions former WAHA Board member Don Kohlman made to improve hockey in Wisconsin. Mr. Kohlman was instrumental in the creation of the WAHA CUP and was on hand to supervise the first four tournaments. Mr. Kohlman passed away in October 2008. The Jacob Trannel Skills competition is on Saturday evening March 25th at the Eagle River Ice Arena and is a great night for all players and families to enjoy. Jacob Trannel was a member of the WAHA CUP champion Region 6 team in 2005 and he was also a member of the Region 6 team in 2006. Jacob was selected to play for Team Wisconsin both years he in participated in the WAHA CUP. Jacob passed away unexpectedly at the age of 15 in December, 2008.
