Region 5 Boys Team & Tryout Information

Tryout Dates: March 10th and 11th at the Ozaukee Ice Center. Please be at both.

Tryout Times: 5:30-7:00pm

Check In: 4:45pm-5:30pm in the lobby of the Ozaukee Ice Center

What To Expect At Tryouts

Skaters will be assigned a colored and numbered pinnie when checking in. Skaters should use that pinnie at tryouts and NOT trade with another skater. Turn in after Day 2.

Skaters will start tryouts with Skill Drills & Full Ice Scrimmage. After about 30 minutes skaters will participate in a full-ice scrimmage.

Goalies will be evaluated at the same time as skaters during the Skill Drills and Full Ice Games.

Games will be buzzer hockey at 90 second shifts to keep ice time fair. A ref will be on the ice to call excessive off-sides and icings along with penalties in which the skaters will be asked to leave the ice surface until their next shift.

Skaters will be asked their position at check-in. Skaters can change their position at any point during the tryout.

Team Notification

Skaters and goalies who make the team will be notified with 24 hours after tryouts and will be given a 12 hour window to accept or decline their spot on the team.

Tournament

March 21st and 22nd at Woodman's Center in Janesville, WI
