Region 3 Boys Team & Tryout Information
Tryout Date: March 10th at the Fond du Lac Blue Line Family Ice Center
Tryout Times: 7:15pm-8:45pm
Check In: 6:15pm-7:16pm in the lobby of the Fond du Lac Blue Line Ice Center
What To Expect At Tryouts
Skaters will be assigned a colored and numbered pinny when checking in. Skaters should use that pinny at tryouts and NOT trade with another skater.
Skaters will start tryouts with Station Based Skill Drills & Station Based Small Area Games. After about 30 minutes skaters will participate in a fulll-ice scrimmage.
Goalies will be evaluated at the same time as skaters during the Skill Drills and Full Ice Games
Games will be buzzer hockey at a minute and a half shifts to keep ice time fair. A ref will be on the ice to call excessive off-sides and icings along with penalties in which the skaters will be asked to leave the ice surface until their next shift.
Skaters will be asked their position at check-in. Skaters can change their position at any point during the tryout.
Team Notification
Skaters and goalies who make the team will be notified with 24 hours after tryouts and will be given a 12 hour window to accept or decline their spot on the team. All skaters will be notified within in 72 hours of team selection.
After Team Selection
Skaters will have a team camp weekend on March 14th and 15th. Each day, skaters will have two- 1 hour practices with chalk-talk and off-ice activities. See below for team practice weekend.
